”The little one”

by Oana

I’m so small that I have to raise my hand above my head in order the automatic door in the supermarket to see me. I’m so small I have to hop in the elevator to get started. I’m so small that I buy T-shirts with “my bestie is the best” from the 11-12 year old girls’ store district. I’m so small that I only have sandals with ladybugs and sneakers with velcro. But I’m so small that I stand out right away. I’m so small that I had to learn to sew to shorten my pants and the sleeves of my shirts and overcoats, so now I have an extra skill. I’m so small you can’t forget me.

Every coin has two sides, there is no night without day, no light without darkness. In every good there is something bad, and in every evil there is something good. In every situation there are advantages and disadvantages.

“The little one” is my brand. People refer to me that way with affection, because I look at me with affection too. We can shape some aspects of our body, but we cannot change others. When we accept and love ourselves as we are we can realize with understanding what we cannot change and we can act with tenacity, but also compassion on the parts of us that can be improved.

P.S: I’m also called “chihuahua”
