Cream and fruit pie

On Sunday I had guests over and I bragged about making a dessert. That’s it, my mouth spoken in advance, I had to keep my word. So I was going to make blueberry pie, but along the way I thought I’d get so bored doing something I’ve done many times before. So I went into the pantry to see what inspired me. I found a bag of Dr. Oetker’s cake cream and a can of pineapple in syrup, and the dull wheels of my inspiration began to work. So I baked a pie crust from here, flipped the pineapple into it, and made the cream from the syrup and cake powder. I garnished the pie with strawberries and grapes and it was excellent. Fragrant, light and refreshing.
