Today is the first of March. Beginning of spring. In my opinion, the year does not begin on the first of January, but on the first of March, with the awakening of nature, with the first snowdrops, with the first buds of the trees. We too are part of nature, we enjoy the first warm rays of the sun, we chirp happily outside, more squeamish than sparrows. A new cycle begins now.
Being Sunday, I lingered in bed reading one of my favorite books, The Monk Who Sold His Ferrari. Here I read that there is one area in our lives over which we have absolute control. Our mind. We can’t control the weather, traffic or the moods of those around us, but we can control our attitude towards these events. There is no objective reality or real world, but everyone has their own reality. An event that appears to one as a tragedy may reveal to another the seeds of unlimited opportunity. No matter what happens to you in life, you alone have the ability to choose how you react. When you form the habit of seeing the positive in every circumstance, your life will reach its highest dimensions. Motivating, right? Nice way to start the year, by deciding to regain control of ourselves, by regaining control of our mind. Let’s stop caring what other people think about us, that shows their humanity, not ours, stop worrying about everything, it doesn’t help, stop wasting our time on TV nonsense, we don’t learn anything good. Let’s make time for our loved ones, let’s be happy to have them by our side, they are our most valuable asset. Let’s be happy that we are near our parents, our children, our spouses, our brothers and sisters, no car, house, well-paid job comes close to their importance in our life. Let’s be thankful every day for what we have, not long for what we don’t have. “There are no mistakes in life, only lessons. There are no negative experiences, only opportunities to grow, learn and advance on the path of self-control. From struggle comes strength. Even pain can be a wonderful teacher. “
