We Romanians have tasty but heavy traditional dishes. Minced meat dishes are made with fatty meat and fried in a lot of oil. With this recipe, I try to make meatballs more digestible not only for people who have health problems, but also for people who just want to eat healthy, without giving up the taste of a traditional meatball.
Ingredients for 15 meatballs
- 200 grams of boneless chicken breast
- An onion
- A carrot
- A palm-sized piece of celery
- Half a zucchini
- 2 large cloves of garlic
- A few sprigs of dill
- A large egg or 2 small ones
- Salt pepper
- Rice flour for rolling the meatballs
Method of preparation
Chop the chicken breast, and grate the vegetables. I use the food processor for these operations. The vegetables are squeezed well, then, in a bowl, they are mixed with the meat. Add the egg, dill and garlic finely chopped by hand. It is homogenized well, then, with wet hands, form flat meatballs that are dipped in rice flour. Place in the oven tray, on baking paper. Place in the preheated oven for 40-50 minutes, turning to the other side halfway through the baking time. Do you find it difficult, what do you say?
